Leah is a kind and authentic therapist-trainee, who is passionate about offering clients a warm, welcoming, and safe space to explore and process experiences, thoughts, and emotions. Leah brings a thoughtful and collaborative approach to helping her clients heal, grow, and reach their full potential.
Leah uses an integrative approach to her therapy work, drawing from a number of different theories and techniques to address each client’s unique needs. However, she frequently utilizes elements of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Relational Cultural Therapy, and Mindful Self-Compassion.
She enjoys working with younger adult and teen clients of all backgrounds – and has a special interest in supporting individuals struggling with grief, trauma, anxiety, identity issues, religious minority issues, and LGBTQ+-related challenges.
Leah is currently in a PhD program in Counseling Psychology at Tennessee State University and is working under the supervision of Dr. Nisha Bhatt at Nashville Psych. Prior to entering her doctoral program, Leah earned a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Vanderbilt University.
A Nashville native, Leah enjoys spending her free time exercising outdoors, writing, drinking specialty coffee, and spending quality time with family and friends.
