With a background in both counseling and education, Olesya Leskel is uniquely qualified to help children, adults, and families overcome behavioral and mental health issues, trauma and adjustment due to changes in the family system, to name a few. Olesya currently has openings for Telehealth appointments.
Leskel, who earned her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA, has served as a counselor and educator for over 17 years.
She is frequently praised by colleagues and former supervisors for her gift at successfully reaching even the most challenging clients.
Leskel uses an eclectic approach, tailoring treatments for each client and family’s unique needs. Frequently used approaches include Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Family Systems Therapy and Art Therapy.
Prior to realizing her goal of becoming a therapist, Leskel worked for 10 years as a teacher in Special and Montessori Education, as well as the Suzuki Method.
