Elena is a dedicated, compassionate therapist-trainee, who cares deeply about working in a collaborative way to help her clients create goals, heal, feel better, and grow. Elena believes therapy is for everyone, but not all therapy is the same. Passionate about authenticity and tailoring her therapeutic approaches to each client, Elena aims to truly meet clients where they are. Elena is currently working toward a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and is working under the supervision of Dr. Neva Murray.
Trained to work with individuals, families, and couples, Elena is passionate about creating a safe and inclusive space for everyone. She is confident working with adults and adolescents and has a special interest in working with young adults who may be dealing with a wide range of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, life cycle transitions, grief and loss, relationship challenges, difficult family dynamics, significant life changes, spiritual conflicts, and burnout. Additionally, she believes attending therapy is a great preventative and proactive way to maintain overall mental and emotional wellness.
A Washington State native, Elena has lived in Nashville for the past seven years and is currently in the last year of her master’s program, where she enrolled after many years of working with young families as well as in humanitarian organizations abroad. She is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and was inducted into Delta Kappa, the International Marriage and Family Therapy Honor Society. As part of her accredited graduate program, she is working toward her certification to facilitate the Prepare/Enrich premarital assessment.
When she’s not working with clients, Elena enjoys studying, being outdoors, and trying new coffee shops.
