Mailys is a kind, insightful, and naturally empathetic therapist trainee, who seeks to deeply understand, support, and empower her clients to heal, grow, and reach their full potential. She strongly believes in the power of therapy to transform clients’ lives.
Mailys uses an integrated approach to meet the needs of each individual client. She is dedicated to providing a safe, warm, and welcoming environment to process emotions and navigate challenging life circumstances. Mailys works with individual clients (aged ???) who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, identity development, LGBTQ+ challenges, among others.
Mailys is currently in her second year in Vanderbilt University’s Human Development Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s program. Prior to moving to Nashville, Mailys earned a B.S. in Psychology, a B.A. in Sociology, and a B.A. in Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies from the University of Florida. During her time at UF, where she graduated cum laude, Mailys served as a research assistant in the People, Places and Belonging lab and volunteered with the Alachua County Crisis Center.
Mailys is supervised at Nashville Psych by Dr. Neva Murray.
In her free time, Mailys enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, doing small crafts, watching the occasional reality show, and journaling.
