Each year, Nashville Psych selects outstanding doctoral students from local universities for a training program in the area of Psychoeducational and Psychological Assessments. Our team of practicum students support Dr. Daniel Goldstein, Dr. Neva Murray, and Dr. Nisha Bhatt with the administration, case conceptualization, scoring, report writing, and feedback that are central to psychoeducational evaluations. Our 2024-2025 Trainees are exceptional students who are passionate about the evaluation process.
Psychological Assessment Trainees
Rickey Leachman, M.A., LMHCA
Rickey Leachman is currently in his third year of Tennessee State University’s Ph.D. program in Counseling Psychology. In addition to his coursework and practicum, Rickey also dedicates his time to supporting multiple research teams. Rickey Prior to pursuing his doctoral degree, Rickey earned a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from Seattle University. Rickey is a member of the Association of Black Psychologists, Psi Chi Honor Society, and Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.
Keyishi Peters, M.A., LPC-MHSP
Keyishi Peters is in her third year of Tennessee State University’s Counseling Psychology Ph.D. program. She is working at Nashville Psych under the supervision of Dr. Neva Murray. Prior to entering her doctoral program, Keyishi earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University. In her experience as a licensed professional counselor, she discovered vast disparities in access to timely psychological evaluations. She is passionate about administering assessments now and into the future. In addition to her studies and practicum, Keyishi works at Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital’s Psychiatric Assessment Services.
